We walked by our local produce stand this morning and my daughter was given a very precious gift. The stand is a small basement accessed through a small flight of stairs, with crates of produce surrounding the entry. We've been buying most of our fruits and vegetable from the shop for the last year and a half. The Georgian woman who runs the stand has grown fond of the kids-- with her family members enjoying helping the kids bag our purchases and select 'just the right' melon or squash or stone fruit, depending on the season. So, on this morning's walk in the neighborhood, it came as a happy surprise to receive the gift of this beautiful little lemon.
