When summer ends, I'm in trouble.
Serious trouble. I've lived exclusively, minus two Christmas seasons spent in the States, in sandals for over three years now. While living in Bangkok, we regularly smiled about the three Thai seasons: hot, hotter and hottest. Each season perfect for sandals. But, as I finally located my shoes in our now diminishing stack of moving boxes (
can I get an Amen?!), I was a bit shocked to see that my sandals had seemingly reproduced. September will mark my first 'real' seasonal change and my shoe collection is going to need to rise to the occasion. I am off to add 'find a quality shoe store' to my list of must-dos.

If you need to get rid of any shoes, I'll gladly take the yellow ones! They are fab!
I like the wedges!
Heh, heh. Moving - packing and then unpacking - is always good for a fresh perspective. Shelby, I must say, thoroughly enjoying your new blog. Kudos!!
@Jeannie: Sheesh... the unpacking seems to be dragging on forever though!
Thank you so much for the compliment-- high praise coming from you!
ohhhh...I like the sandals! Where did you buy shoes?
@Hanlie: BKK was great in many ways but not so much for shoe shopping. I bought a lot on holidays to the States, bought some in Hua Hin (there are two great shoe shops there with 'larger'... aka normal!... sizes), frequented The Gap at Paragon and CentralWorld in BKK which had some really cute sandals, and then had a bit of luck at Central Department Store. Oh, and I found one killer pair of heels at Chatuchak, but that was a lucky break I think! Good luck!
Oh, that makes sense! I can mostly get my size, but I have to admit that I am not really crazy about the shoes they sell here... That is also on my shopping list for holidays back home...
@Hanlie: The little secret rarely shared about the expat life: We all create long shopping lists and bring empty suitcases for our holidays 'at home'!!!! :)
Cool floor! I want to see more of your home!
