camping be done.

05 July 2011
And the truck rolled up! After 10 weeks on the road, our household goods shipment arrived at our Tbilisi home. Which means that my camping days are limited. Once we sort through all of these boxes, there will be no more eating from bamboo* plates, drinking Georgian wine from plastic tumblers, wearing the same three outfits on a three day rotation, using an infant car seat as the universal baby chair ("Hey, will you bring me the high chair, bouncy seat, swing.. i.e. the car seat?"), making pirate ships out of cardboard boxes**, baking pie in aluminum cake pans, straining pasta with a wooden spoon, receiving massive email receipts from iTunes informing me that I've bought yet another kid's show, drinking instant coffee...

*The eco sensitive side of me bought the bamboo plates for our family's picnicking use. Let's just say that the 'I want to eat off of a real plate' side of me isn't so happy with the purchase.

**Okay, this will happily continue.

So glad that your worldly goods have arrived! They were not at the bottom of the sea after all. Enjoy!!
